Town of Walkerville has launched the beginning of its engagement process for TOWards2035 – the strategic plan for the next 10 years for the Township.

This plan will set the strategic direction of the Town of Walkerville and we want you on board for the journey.

Council wants to work with the community to ensure the plan meets the needs and expectations of the public over the next 10 years.

This plan aims to cover a range of areas, including buildings and reserves, community connectivity and safety, local business, heritage, and so much more.

The first phase of the community consultation process is around developing the vision. This vision is an important part of any strategic plan, as it's a statement or ideal of what Town of Walkerville wants to create for the Township over the next 10 years.

This first consultation round is simple. Council want to know what you think the Town of Walkerville should look like by 2035!

The community can be involved in this engagement process in a number of ways:

  • if you are a local trader or landlord, come along to a business forum at Walkerville Town Hall from 6pm-7pm on Monday, 8 April 2024;
  • visit our late-night shopping pop-up stall at Walkerville Shopping Centre from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, 11 April 2024;
  • attend the community safety forum with SA Police at Walkerville Town Hall at 6pm-7pm on Wednesday, 17 April 2024;
  • drop-in to our engagement stall at Walkerville Oval during the first Walkerville Football Club home game from 12pm-3pm on Saturday, 20 April 2024;
  • pin your ideas for the future of the community on the 'vision' board in the Civic & Community Centre; or
  • use the online 'ideas' tool down below to sticky note your thoughts on what Town of Walkerville should look like by 2035.

This consultation ran from 9am on Thursday, 4 April, until 5pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.
