Consultation has concluded

The Town of Walkerville has created a draft Disability Access & Inclusion Plan for 2026-2030.

This plan aims to improve disability access and inclusion within the Township, and ensure people with disability - of all ages and abilities - have the opportunity to live active, connected and fulfilling lives in Walkerville.

In the plan, it outlines areas of focus and actions for Council to undertake in the Township to meet the needs and expectations of our community. These areas of focus cover:

  • inclusive environments and communities;
  • education and employment;
  • personal and community safety; and
  • safety, rights and justice.

Council wants to get feedback on the draft Disability Access & Inclusion Plan to ensure it is appropriately meeting the needs of our community, as well as understand if anything is missing from the draft Plan that Council should consider.

The consultation on the draft Disability Access & Inclusion Plan 2026-2030 will close at 5pm on Friday, 27 March 2026.
