Draft 2026/27 Annual Business Plan
Consultation has concluded.
The Town of Walkerville's draft 2026/27 Annual Business Plan has been developed to deliver services, facilities and programs that support our community and businesses over the next financial year.
As part of the planning process, the Town of Walkerville community is invited to provide feedback on the draft plan for 2026/27.
The draft 2026/27 Annual Business Plan will be funded by a proposed average rate increase of 4.9%, which is the current CPI for the March 2026 quarter. This balanced increase ensures the Council's financial sustainability without compromising essential services or future planning.
This Annual Business Plan incorporates:
- Council’s ongoing progress with major projects in the Township, including the upgrade of the Walkerville Sports Club, upgrades to Levi Oval and the commencement of early-stage initiatives for the revitalisation of Walkerville Terrace;
- installing and monitoring CCTV in strategic locations to deter criminal activity;
- undertaking detailed design for Council's Fuller Street works depot;
- establishing a community garden at The W: Walkerville Recreation Centre;
- park furniture and bin upgrades;
- a range of events and activity opportunities within the Township; and
- the continuation of regular Council services and amenities.
At its Special Council Meeting on Monday, 25 May 2026, Council Members endorsed the draft Annual Business Plan for consultation. The full Council report can be viewed on the Council website.
