Gilberton & Medindie Parking Survey

A few years ago, 3-hour parking zones (3P) were introduced in parts of Gilberton and Medindie following an independent traffic investigation and community consultation. These changes aimed to address local concerns about parking availability and traffic flow. This survey is targeting those residents within the 3P zones that were rolled out in 2020.

Since then, Council has received a number of queries and comments from residents about how the parking restrictions are working in practice. As part of our commitment to ongoing community engagement, we are now seeking feedback from local residents.

This survey is an opportunity to:

  • check in with the community a few years after implementation;

  • gauge how well the current 3P zones are working; and

  • understand if further changes or improvements are needed.

Council want to hear your thoughts on how the current parking arrangements are impacting your day-to-day experience.

This feedback will help shape future decisions and ensure parking controls are working as intended for the local community.

At its Ordinary Council Meeting on Monday, 16 June 2025, Council Members endorsed the Gilberton and Medindie 3P zones for consultation. The full Council report can be viewed on the Council website.

Consultation for the Gilberton & Medindie Parking Survey is open from 9am on Monday, 30 June 2025, and closes at 5pm on Friday, 25 July 2025.

There are a number of ways you can be involved in the Gilberton & Medindie Parking Survey - which is only for residents living in 3P zones in Gilberton and Medindie:
