Consultation has concluded
The Town of Walkerville has reviewed its proposed Parking Policy to reduce community confusion around the management of on-street parking. We seek your feedback on the changes.
Following previous consultation in September 2021, and based on feedback received during this process, Council has refined the policy to provide a more simple view to parking within the Township.
Under the revised policy:
"Transferable and Fixed Permits" would be removed and replaced with a "Residential Parking Permit" that can be shared amongst residents at the same property. Residents would no longer need to attach a parking permit to a specific vehicle number plate, therefore providing more flexibility for use.
"Temporary Parking Vouchers" would be issued for specific vehicles to provide parking for (a) visitors or work contractors and (b) resident vehicles when usual off-street parking spaces are temporarily unavailable due to building renovations or other works. A maximum of two vouchers per property apply at any one time.
Council seeks your feedback on the revised Draft Parking Policy.
Please complete the survey below to have your say by 5pm on Wednesday 4 May 2022.
NOTE: THE PARKING POLICY ONLY IMPACTS RESIDENTS WHO LIVE IN STREETS WITH TIMED PARKING RESTRICTIONS. PLEASE VIEW THE INTERACTIVE MAP BELOW TO SEE ALL CURRENT PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP.
