The Walkerville Library is investigating the possibility of changing opening hours and want to hear from the community on their thoughts!
Last year, the Council undertook its first Library Survey to understand how the community use the local library, as well as collect ideas from participants on how we can provide better library services.
This upcoming survey is to take our previous consultation further and discover what library hours best reflect the needs of the community.
Do you prefer to keep the current library hours? Would you rather have the library open late on two days a week instead of one? Do you want to keep the library open on Saturdays? These are the questions we want answered!
This is the perfect time to provide Walkerville Library insight on how you want to use and access your local library.
Consultation for the Library Survey 2.0 opens at 9am on Monday 17 July 2023 and closes at 5pm on Monday 7 August 2023.
Hard copies are available at the Civic & Community Centre at 66 Walkerville Terrace, Gilberton. This survey is being conducted by independent market research company, Market Action Research.
All survey participants can elect to enter a draw to win a $100 Dymocks voucher.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on Monday, 21 August 2023, the Library Survey 2.0 recommendation to not change the Walkerville Library opening hours, as per the survey results, was adopted by Council without any amendments.
