Consultation has concluded
Council is currently consulting on its draft Transport Strategy 2024 - 2035, which aims to address the evolving needs and challenges of the Town of Walkerville's transportation and connection system, by improving how the community moves and commutes within our Township.
The proposed Strategy, developed through the first consultation phase in 2023, identifies issues and opportunities in the Township to improve local traffic access, road safety, parking and amenity.
Key areas of concern identified by the community include cut-through traffic and speeding, parking, school zones, and the cycling and walking network.
A number of actions have been outlined in the draft Transport Strategy that will be delivered over the next 10 years to ensure Town of Walkerville can create a more sustainable, accessible, efficient, safe and inclusive traffic and transport system.
The draft Transport Strategy consultation will run from 9am on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, until 5pm on Monday, 5 August 2024.
