Consultation has concluded

Council has reviewed its current Order Making Policy, which governs the Town of Walkerville’s responsibility to take measures to protect the area from hazards and to improve the amenity of the Township.

This Policy ensures that the Town of Walkerville is able to utilise its order making powers to facilitate a safe and healthy environment, and to guarantee decisions are fair and equitable.

The new Order Making Policy has been updated to reflect current legislation and internal policies, further clarify how the Policy functions, and has minor amendments of a grammatical nature.

At the June Ordinary Meeting of Council, Council Members endorsed the draft Order Making Policy for consultation.

The draft Order Making Policy is open for consultation from 9am on Tuesday, 18 June 2024 and closes at 5pm on Monday, 8 July 2024.
