Consultation has concluded

Council has reviewed its current Community Grants Program Policy (formerly named the Community Fund Policy), which will better cater to the needs of the community.

The proposed Policy will provide three streams of community funding:

Minor Community Grants (up to $500)

Supports our community by offering funding to empower individuals or groups to address their own needs and priorities, through a grant that considers personal growth, academic achievement and recreational interests.

Major Community Grants (up to $5,000)

Provides monetary assistance to undertake larger community-based projects, initiatives or activities. These grants are designed to promote positive social change at a local level.

Business Incentive Grants (up to $5,000)

Offers financial subsidy to stimulate economic growth by encouraging business investment, innovation, expansion among local businesses and enhancing the Township’s overall business environment.

This revised Policy ensures that residents, groups, organisations, charities and businesses are able to access funding that will benefit the community, as well as the residents living within the Township.

The Community Grants Program Policy has also been updated to ensure further clarity around eligibility for grant funding.

At the July Ordinary Meeting of Council, Council Members endorsed the draft Policy for consultation.

Consultation is open from 9am on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, until 5pm on Tuesday, 6 August 2024.
